Youth Group

Generation Chi Rhos is a well established youth group obedient to the Magesterium of the Roman Catholic Church. The program has been in place for 14 years and has been an instrument of God’s endless mercy and grace on countless lives.

Originating at Corpus Christi parish in Dayton, Ohio, Generation Chi Rhos moved to Emmanuel Catholic Church in the fall of 2006. They have quickly become an integral part of the religious education program at Emmanuel, and their contribution to parish life has reverberated throughout the church community.

All youth in grades 7 through 12 are invited to join our vibrant faith community focused on our Eucharistic Lord. The format of our weekly Wednesday night meetings include social time, Praise and Worship, Catholic teaching utilizing the Scriptures and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, group and individual prayer, and small group discussions. These small groups are facilitated by college students that are open to God’s plan for their lives and that have a zeal to share His love for all.

Periodically throughout the year the youth group participates in extra activities including a fall canoe trip, an annual All Saints Day party, the parish Advent retreat, a Spring Retreat, and the Franciscan University of Steubenville Youth Conference. Various other social times are offered to help in fostering our Catholic community.
